TU President Dr. Husam bin Abdulwahhab Zaman linked the introduction and elimination of academic disciplines to the actual needs of local communities and the Saudi labor market. He pointed out that the restructuring of branch campus colleges will contribute to linking their academic departments and programs with the corresponding departments and programs offered in the colleges in the main campus.

In a dialogue with the students of the University College in Taraba, Dr. Zaman noted the many positive student benefits following the restructuring of the University colleges in Taraba, Ranya and Al-Khurma. TU President said that the restructuring was based on the University's approach to meet the requirements of the labor market, both in the provinces where the branch campuses are located or in the Kingdom in general. Dr. Zaman pointed out that restructuring allows the University to change the names or merge departments or academic programs, and to ensure future development and expansion, and to add new disciplines and programs as needed.

During his regular visit to the university branches, Dr. Zaman held several meetings at the University College in Taraba, including meeting with the College Council, holding an open meeting with members of the teaching staff, and meeting with the dignitaries and parents of the students in Taraba. TU President toured the campus of the University College in Taraba, and was briefed on the progress of projects such as building new classrooms, laboratory buildings, ancillary services, infrastructure, and other facilities.
